• Rimless built up letters – a sleek, modern and seamless finish, where the face material sits flush to the return of the letter or logo, giving the impression of a free floating letter face. Its borderless face means that it can be fully illuminated, and is ideal for small to medium sized letters. This style can be made from aluminium, acrylic or stainless steel. A popular style for highstreet retailers such as M&S, H&M and Sunglass Hut.
• Rim and return built up letters – this style is normally used for larger letters or logos where a 2-3cm border in the return material sits over the face of the letter or logo. As well as for aesthetic appeal, the border (‘rim’) ensures the face material doesn’t flex or move on large built up letters. Think Zara, Disney and Wagamama for this style of sign.
• Open channel built up letters – ideal for those looking for a retro feel for their signage. This faceless style leaves the inside of the built up letters open, so neon tubing or LED lightbulbs are exposed. Ideal for fairground style lighting (known as ‘cabochon lighting’). Leon and Byron Burger often use this style for their signs.

Custom 3D letters can either be mounted on fascia signs or a variety of surfaces, freestanding or suspended from the ceiling. As well as being fixed flush to a back tray or wall, they can also be stood off from the wall using locators to appear as if they are floating.
